Training of persons requiring general security awareness
The course is relevant to known consignors, approved hauliers, regulated agents & other aviation industry entities, particularly non-escorted personnel within the workplace with access to air cargo, but who are not performing aviation security requirements
This course will equip the trainee with the tools & knowledge to understand the legal requirements, their responsibilities, responding appropriately to risks, reporting issues.
About the Course
This course: Aviation security training requirements are laid out within REGULATION (EU) 2015/1998 COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2015/1998 of 5 November 2015.
This training shall take place in accordance with point 11.2.7 of the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1998. Individual training records should be kept on file.
In addition, you will be required to show that all relevant staff implementing security controls have received training or recurrent training in accordance with Chapter 11 of the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1998.
Whats covered: This course is meeting all the requirements and covers all competencies as required for
11.2.7 (General Security Awareness Training). The general training obligations
of 11.2.7 according to the annex is as follows: .
- knowledge of previous acts of unlawful interference with civil
aviation, terrorist acts and current threats; - awareness of the relevant legal requirements;
- knowledge of the objectives and organisation of aviation security in their working environment, including the obligations and responsibilities of persons implementing security controls;
- knowledge of reporting procedures;
- ability to respond appropriately to security related incidents
Each person undergoing general security awareness training shall be required to demonstrate understanding of all subjects referred to in this point before taking up duty.
This training shall not apply to instructors falling under point 11.5. (11.5 is qualification of instructors under regulation 2015/1998).
Who is the course for:
Known consignors, certified hauliers, regulated agents and other aviation industry entities will need to demonstrate that all staff (permanent, temporary or agency staff, drivers) with access to air cargo/air mail have received the appropriate training on security awareness matters.
Our course is aimed at non-escorted personnel within the workplace with access to air cargo, but who are not performing aviation security requirements, e.g. maintenance, cleaners, etc.
Objectives: The objective of this course is
to equip those who complete the training with the knowledge and tools to be
able to know the legal requirements, their responsibilities, to be able to
respond appropriately to risks, report issues, and be able to contribute to
aviation security in the workplace. 1
